Stylish & Professional: How to Select Comfortable Ladies Work Heels

Are you a professional woman who likes to maintain her femininity in the workplace? In that case, you might be a fan of wearing heels to work. However, if you've been through enough pairs of heels, you've probably noticed how some are as comfortable as trainers and others are literally torture regardless of how cute they look. While you may be able to endure an hour or two on special occasions in the second type of heels, the first type is what you should be wearing to your office. So, what makes some heels more comfortable than others? Here's an answer to that question.

They Have a Thicker Heel

When it comes to selecting ladies work heels, some types of heels are better suited than others. For instance, stilettos although sleek and formal, can be a killer shoe for the office, and not in a good way. Instead of skinny types of heels, you should look for thicker heels that can support your foot better. Because they allow for a better distribution of weight, block heels are an unbelievably comfy choice. Similarly, you can also opt for stacked heels or cone heel shoes. Another great choice is a kitten heel, which has a vintage, serious look to it. Although it's still thin, because it's not very high, it's much easier to walk in than in a stiletto.

They Are Not too High

However, regardless of how chunky the heel may be, if it's too high it will still be uncomfortable to wear. Higher heels put more stress on the ball of the foot, as well as the ankles and knees, and can even affect posture. With that being said, you may want to look for ladies work heels that aren't very high. In general, heels that are under 5cm high feel more comfortable to walk in and put less stress on the body. They Go Easy on Your Toes.

While pointy heels may look like they can convey power, they aren't exactly suited the office. Squeezing your toes into a cramped space for the whole day can lead to sore and painful feet and aesthetic issues such as bunions. A better choice is a shoe that offers more room in the front so that the toes can be free to wiggle in. They Are the Ideal Fit

Walking in shoes that are tight can be incredibly uncomfortable. And this can be exacerbated considering how our feet tend to swell during the day. So, when choosing heels you plan to wear to work, make sure that your feet receive some room to breathe. On the other hand, be careful not to choose a model that's too wide. If there's a gap between your foot and the shoe, your foot will shift around which can present a problem with balance and surely lead to discomfort. So, always make sure to pick the perfect fit.
