The Best Car Accessories for Everyday and Camping Uses

We spend an enormous amount of time of our lives inside our cars (a whopping 17,600 average per year), so it's only natural to customize our cars in order to make them more comfortable and practical. One such way to do this, is with car accessories online. You can find an assortment of products and gadgets that can help both your day to day and camping life. Here is a list of the most useful accessories that you must have in your vehicle.

Accessories to Use for Your Day-to-Day Drive

A Holding Stand for Your Phone

First of all, I would like to say that I do not support using your phone while driving, except for legitimate reasons such as GPS. Now with that said, there are a few types of phone holders to chose from.

There are suction cups to mount on your wind-shield, but those are not recommended as they can decrease your field of view and act as a distraction.

Then there are the air vent mountable phone holders, these can be good but are a no-go for hot weather when you need the A/C.

The best type of phone holder that I would recommend is the cup holder. It helps keep your phone stationary, of to the side, so that you can still use your GPS and not worry about your phone flying off.

Dog Car Harness

If you are travelling with your lovely pet companion then you'd want to protect that as well. But since most safety buckles aren't appropriate for dogs, you will have to turn to car accessories online for a dog harness. Dog Harnesses are much like baby harness, they are dressed around the dogs chest, and buckled to the seat.

Phone Charger With a Head-Up Display

If you are using your phone for an extended period of time, such as you would do on a few-days trip, your phone will require charging. One solution to this is a wireless charging panel, but of course not all phones support them. For other phones types there are charging stations that offer a head-up display. The head-up display can be a very useful feature as it functions as a make-shift HUG display. Using a mirror it reflects everything that is on your phone, like the GPS navigation screen.

Accessories to Use for Camping Trips

A Cooler/Portable Fridge

This is an essential element to bring along for any camping trip in the summer. Coolers can keep your beverages and beers cold, while keeping your meats and sandwiches from spoiling. Because at the end of the day, there is nothing better then crackinga cold one with the boys over a campfire.

Rooftop Tents

When you're camping out into the wild it can be a once in a life-time experience, filled with nature and wonder. But the wonder slowly fades when night falls and you realise that you have to sleep outside with all sorts of animals around you. Well do not panic, if your car can support a rooftop tent, you can simply mount it on top of your car, away from all the danger.

Cargo Box

When you're on a road-trip, you don't want to be crammed up like a pack of sardines inside your vehicle. But there are so many essentials you need to bring, that you might think there is not other option but to accept your faith. Well there is, cargo boxes can the mounted on top of your vecihle and can be used to store all your baggage. This will not only save you leg room, but add a significant amount of extra space to your vehicle (if you are combing this with the rooftop tent, you will need to store it inside the vehicle while not in use).

Want to Add the Necessary Oomph to Your Beast - An Exhaust System It Is

When you buy a new car you expect everything to be like you imagine. Nevertheless, it may be a good engine, top-notch equipment yet the sound that makes can be very, very weak! Yet, you want a more powerful sound! Friend, you should know you are not the only one thinking this. The smell of burning rubber, the adrenaline you feel when you are on accelerating and the sound of the exhaust are the three crucial things to feel like a daredevil when driving your vehicle.

Now, the problem with factory exhaust pipes on most of the auto mobiles is to muffle the sound to the maximum. However, the point I am trying to make that factory exhaust pipes will not only lower the sound, they will also restrict the flow of a lot of gases inside your engine and create a problem – back pressure. Even if most of the engines need some back pressure to be operational, the power that is cut from the engine is just too big.

Fortunately, there is a way out of this problem. The market is full of third-party aftermath exhaust pipes that will offer you less restriction than any factory system. However, before you make your final decision and decide which exhaust pipe to buy, in this article, we will go through the most fundamental parts of an exhaust system and explain how they function.

The first parts that the gases pass from your engine are the headers and the manifolds. They are produced to have cylinder heads and scavenge the gases from the chambers. The third-party headers are generally created in a way that they will reduce the restriction and offer a free pass to the gases from the engine, meaning you will receive more power.

Afterwards, the gas will go through the downpipes which are also known as head pipes and will connect the headers to the mufflers. Another crucial part is the catalytic converter is created to lessen the harmful emission of your auto mobile and realises it into the air. Without this component, you can get heavy fines, because it is required by the Australian law to have one of these installed.

Lastly, the most popular part of the exhaust system – the muffler. People recognise this part because it is the most visible part. Additionally, the muffler creates the exhaust sound. There are different types of a muffler that create different sounds. In an ideal situation, a high-quality after market muffler could create a very good growling sounds without taking too much power.

In conclusion, when you finally decide to buy exhaust pipes, you should consider which type and style will suit your auto mobile, how loud you want to be, and how much money are you willing to invest.
